About the Artist: Kaluram Bamaniya

Kaluram Bamaniya, a Padma Shri awardee, is a distinguished folk singer celebrated for his renditions of Kabir bhajans. Born and raised in Pardeshipura village in Tonkkhurd tehsil of Dewas district, Kaluram has dedicated his life to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Malwa through music. With a deep belief in the universal messages of love and life embedded in Kabir's verses, Kaluram's performances transcend mere melodies, offering audiences a profound spiritual experience.

His extraordinary range extends beyond Kabir to include bhajans of Mirabai and Gorakhnath, all sung in the melodious Malwi dialect. Over the years, Kaluram has graced numerous stages, captivating audiences with his soulful voice and heartfelt interpretations.

His contributions to the music world have been recognized with accolades such as the Padma Shri in 2024, the Tulsi Samman, and Bheraji Samman in 2022 respectively.
